Teachers from the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) set up a camp on the plateau of the Zócalo. They demanded basification of places, improvements in working conditions and a salary increase.
Approximately 500 teachers and normalistas from the CNTE from different states of the country arrived in a caravan from Toluca and set up their tents in the Plaza de la Constitución Circuit and demanded dialogue with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
By not being attended by a presidential commission, the teachers threatened an indefinite sit-in in the zócalo and to carry out different actions in the country’s capital.
